Dr. D’Adrian Leach Barnes Biography:

Dr. D’Adrian Leach Barnes, affectionately known as Dr. Dee Dee, is the Dean of Distant Learning and Director of Enrollment at Zoe Fellowship Bible College. Both roles are crucial in shaping the minds and hearts of future leaders in the church.

Born and raised in the coastal areas of North and South Carolina, Dr. Dee Dee is the oldest child of James & the late Judy B. Leach. She is happily married to Mr. Shelton Barnes and together they have a beautiful blended family, with son Julian Hamer and daughter Christin Smith.

She has always been deeply rooted in her faith. From a young age, she felt called to serve God in ministry, inspired by the guidance and wisdom of her mother and grandmothers. Coming from a family of educators, she was encouraged to be a student of the Word of God, prioritizing spiritual growth over worldly knowledge.

Dr. Dee Dee’s educational journey is a testament to her passion for Christian education. Early in life she attended The University of North Carolina, and later in life she pursued further studies in Christian Education, eventually earning her Doctorate from Zoe Fellowship Bible College. Her academic achievements reflect her desire to equip herself with the knowledge and skills needed to empower others in their faith journey.

After accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, Dr. Dee Dee became actively involved in ministry, serving in various capacities within her church community. Her dedication to prayer, youth leadership, and other roles exemplifies her commitment to building up the Body of Christ. In 1999, she became a member of Zoe Fellowship church and has flourished under the teachings of Apostle Michael & Dr. Lisa Brown. Their teachings on the Word of God have allowed her to blossom in ministry and as a result she became a licensed minister in Nov. 2020. Her spiritual resume also includes serving as a Deaconess, Singles Ministry leader and a member of the Intercessory Prayer team.

Above all, Dr. Dee Dee’s ultimate goal is to see God’s people thrive in their relationship with Him. She seeks to inspire others to live authentically and boldly as the individuals God has called them to be. Her heart for the Body of Christ shines through her work, as she strives to create an environment where believers can experience true freedom and spiritual growth.
